WILLIAM "Bill" JOHN GRESS
Bill was born on February 2nd, 1931 and passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 15th, 2013 with his family by his side. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Marvel; son, Wendell Gress (Tammy); daughters, Rhonda (Bud) Penny, Lona (Terry) Matlock; daughters-in-law, Marilyn (Tyrone) Turn and Charlotte Gress; grandchildren, Tyler (Hailey) Penny, Cody (Jenna) Penny, Michael Gress (Delushi), Aimee Gress (Matt), Dustin (Laurie) Penny, Lance Gress (Bree), Jace Matlock (Britanie), Devin Gress, Dylan Gress, Whitney (Joel) Penny-Gogol and Owen Gress (Terri); great grandchildren, Sydney, Lexi, Axtyn, Willow, Maddie, London and Noah; numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by his son, Owen; sister, Evelyn (Lambert) Schwartzenberger and parents, Mike and Mary. Bill was raised in the Viscount area and married Marvel Olson in 1953. His years there were spent farming, as well as running the B.A. Bulk Oil, a grocery/hardware store and the Massey Ferguson dealership. In his leisure time he coached hockey, curled and loved to dance. After retiring in Saskatoon, he enjoyed his upholstery shop in his garage and trips to the casino. He will be missed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church in Viscount, SK. The Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 20th at Windsor Chapel, 704 Windsor Street (corner of 8th Avenue North and Windsor Street). If unable to attend please watch online at www.windsorchapelsaskatoon.com. Reception to follow, interment at 4:30 p.m. at the St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery NW of Viscount.
