Frances PUHL Obituary
(nee Graff)
Frances passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at St. Paul's Hospital - Palliative Care at the age of 87. She is loved and remembered by her daughter, Loretta (John) Colwell; son, Ken (Eloyce) Puhl; grandchildren, Candace Colwell (Nathan), Crystal Colwell, Mitchell Puhl, Kevin Puhl and Jocelyn Puhl; sisters, Eva (Bill) Puhl, Edna Hornung and Margaret Stecyk; brother, Leo (Adele) Graff. Frances was predeceased by her husband, Albert; parents, Jacob and Helen Graff; brothers, Roderick, Walter, Ron and Bernard Graff in infancy; brothers-in-law, Peter Stecyk, Martin Hornung, Ed Hanowski; and sister, Magdalen Hanowski. Frances was born north of Lebret, SK on July 16, 1927. She married Albert Puhl on July 20, 1948. They lived in Melville where Frances made a lovely home for her family. After Albert retired from the Melville Fire Department they spent thirteen winters in Texas. In 1988 they moved to Saskatoon to be closer to their children and families. Her greatest enjoyments were her faith, family and travelling. She loved her daughter and son and her grandchildren very much. Vigil for Frances will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 and the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 2015. Both services to be held at St. John Bosco Roman Catholic Church (1202 Avenue O South). Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul's Hospital Foundation – Palliative Care or the Canadian Cancer Society. Sorry for the loss of Frances. We know you will miss her a lot since you were a very devoted family as we could tell from all the time you spent caring and visiting her at the hospital. It was nice getting to know you while we spent time in the same room visiting our Dad. Take care and again we offer our sympathy,

We are very grateful to have met Frances and her family. She was a wonderful person, we could see that, even though the circumstances under which we met were not the best. I am very thankful that you folks were the ones travelling this path along with us, helping us and supporting us, although I would have preferred that neither family had had to travel this path it at this time.
