I was very lucky to see Mr. Weiman and meet his family while he had a brief stay at St. Paul's Hospital this summer. After 20 yrs, he still remembered my name from when he was a teacher at BJM and I was a student. He touched so many hearts in his lifetime and made such an impact in young people's lives while he was a teacher. He is an inspiration to be the best that you can be each day and that the littlest acts of kindness can have such a lasting effect for entire lifetimes. It was an honour and inspiration to know him. His kindness lives on through his family and the fond memories that we have of him. My deepest condolences to the Weiman family

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss Paul, Leslie and family. One of my fondest high school memories was when Mr. Weiman interrupted our English class, turned the lights low, told us to rest our heads, and told us a Winnie the Pooh story.

Dear Dolores, Kari, and all your family,
I was so saddened to hear of your great loss. Duane loved life and the world around him--especially his family, his friends, and his students. He saw everything with a sense of wonder, a smile, and much laughter. He was always positive, enthusiastic, and upbeat.
"I Did Not Die"
Do not stand at my grave and forever weep.
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn's rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and forever cry.
I am not there. I did not die.

Duane lives on in every smile you see, in the laughter of others, in the memories of all those who knew him, and in your love. May God give you all the strength you need at this time and in the coming weeks and months.

So long dear friend. We will miss you terribly. Such beautiful tributes have been paid to you - and all well deserved. We were always sure of laughter, fun and happiness when you were around. We have great memories of fantastic holidays together - Ireland, Italy, USA as well as camping holidays with our families around Saskatchewan. A lot of ground was covered in 46 years. We remember our many dinners together over the years. Delores, Kari (Dean, Joshua, Olivia), Paul (Lesley, William, Max), Grandpa Duane is proudly watching over you all from heaven. Duane, your suffering is over and you are now at peace. Love from the McGartland family connection - Frank, Gertrude, Goddaughter Roisin (Mark), Sinead (Jeremy, Keara and Marin) and our family in Ireland who love you as much as we do.

Delores, Kari and Paul I am saddened by the loss of your husband/father. My earliest memories of Duane was going to La Ronge, and the old orange Comet. He was trying to scare that bull buffalo off the road by waving his hands. I think the buffalo was laughing as hard as I was.
He was always laughing or joking which I remember because he had that way of convincing the younger people like myself that he was serious, then there would be that smirk and a laugh.
The most memorable was when he tried to teach a young boy to play the guitar. The song 'Me and Bobby McGee' has and will always hold the thought of Duane. He was someone who touched a lot of lives in so many positive ways, he will be missed but not forgotten.

Mr Weiman was one of the most caring and compasionate people I have ever met. He was not only my gr 9 teacher but helped me through some hard experiences in my life. He made me feel like my fears and pain were real. He never dismissed me and treated me like a person not a number. He always put his students first and made us feel like we had a purpose even when we ourselves thought we didn't. My favorite memorie to this day was him reading winnie the pooh to our class. His Eore voice was my favorite. His time on earth mad a difference to so many and I feel so blessed to have had him in my life. My thoughts are with the family during this time. Rest in Peace Mr Weiman.

I will always remember Mr. Weiman with the most wonderful of memories. He was our school Chaplin in the years I went to school at BJM. He was so welcoming to all of us coming to high school in grade 9. I won't soon forget him reading Winnie the Pooh to us in class and the smile he had on his face as he walked the halls. He was a wonderful teacher and mentor who always went above and beyond to reach out to the students in need. My deepest condolences to Dolores and all of his family. I am so sad to hear of his passing. He will be missed but he leaves so many gifts with his legacy.
Love & God's comfort to you at this time.
