Bonnie Franks Obituary
MUNCIE - Bonnie L. Franks, 73, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at her residence.
She was born on January 29, 1943 in New Castle, the daughter of Milton P. and Wealthia "Peggy" (Caston) Koenig. She graduated from New Castle High School in 1961. On August 29, 1965 in New Castle, she married James R. "Jim" Franks.
Bonnie worked in the law offices of Frank Massey as a legal secretary for a few years before she became a dedicated homemaker. She loved fishing, was an avid cyclist and enjoyed working in her garden.
Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Cindy Chandler (husband, John); one son, Richard Franks; two grandchildren, Cassie Chandler and Jocelyn Chandler; one great-grandchild, Vanessa Maxwell; and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James R. "Jim" Franks.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel with Pastor Dewayne Loveless officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Services of East Central Indiana-Little Red Door, 2311 W. Jackson Street, Muncie, IN 47303.

Cindy and family....OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHY ON THE LOSS OF YOUR MOTHER. WE ALWAYS ATTENDED THE FIREWORKS ON THE 4 OF JULY IN YORKTOWN AT JAKES HOUSE. WE REMEMBER HOW MUCH YOUR MOM AND DAD AND YOU KIDS ENJOYED THE FIREWORKS LIKE WE DID. MANY GOOD POSITIVE MEMORIES WERE MADE DURING THE FIREWORKS EVERY YEAR.
