Jack Stuart Jones CAMDEN - A graveside service to celebrate the life of Jack Stuart Jones, 90, of Camden, SC will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, November 12, 2013 in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Rev. John Hallman and Rev. Dr. William F. "Chip" Summers will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM, Monday, November 11, 2013 at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Bethesda Presbyterian Church, 502 DeKalb Street, Camden, SC 29020. Jack Stuart Jones, widower of Elizabeth Walker Jones, died Saturday, November 9, 2013. He was born in Wadesboro, NC on May 2, 1923, the son of the late Grace Josephine Austin Jones and Bland Hudson DeForest Jones. He worked for DuPont in Richmond, VA and Camden, SC, with 43 years service at the time of his retirement. Mr. Jones served in the US Marine Corps as a Gunnery Sargeant, served in the Pacific Theater during WWII, was called back into active duty during the Korean War and served as a Drill Instructor at Camp LeJeune, NC. He was a member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church, American Legion, and the Camden Bulldog Club where he was a past president. Mr. Jones was a long time member of Camden Country Club where he enjoyed playing golf and was a fan of the Clemson Tigers where he and Beth attended many football games. During the last few years he has resided at The Palms of Mt. Pleasant in Assisted Living. The family would like to express their thanks to his caregiver, Shirley Singleton. Mr. Jones is survived by his daughters, Catherine Jones Hough and Rebecca Grace Jones (Billy); sons, Stephen Walker Jones (Jean) and Jack Stuart Jones, Jr. (Joan); seven granddaughters, Elizabeth Hough Lawson (Jason), Brannon Hough (Dion), Olivia White, Angela Giles (Jacob), Joanna Jones May (Blake), Josephine Jones, Sherry Jones Jacobs; ten great-grandchildren, Jacob, Mary Laurel and Greyson Lawson, Owen Hough, Rebecca White, Justin Morris, Trevor Fawcett, Ethan Woods, Caitlyn Giles, Annabel Jacobs; and several nieces an nephews. Besides his parents and wife of 59 years, Mr. Jones was predeceased by his son-in-law, George Hough; sisters, Margaret Frazee and Grace McKenna; brothers, Bland Jones, Thomas Jones, J. E.
