Born in Washington, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Woodrow and Ethel Edwards Lupton. Cathy passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2016, after a brief illness. She worked for Beltone Hearing for over twenty five years with her work family. Whitten, Wallace - Saluda  
Wallace Whitten SALUDA - Wallace Whitten, 65, died Saturday, August 27, 2016, in Providence Hospital. Born in Saluda County, a son of the late Ernest "Tater" Whitten and Zenorma Rowe Jackson, he was the husband of the late Ellen Marlene Rowe Whitten. Mr. Whitten retired as a foreman with the South Carolina Department of Transportation after forty years and was a volunteer for twenty-five years with the Saluda County Ambulance Service. He was a member of Saluda Church of God. Surviving are a daughter, Mahleeta Seibert (Spanky) of Prosperity, a son, Justin Wallace Whitten of Saluda, six brothers, Donald Rowe of Columbia, Johnny Jackson and Wayne Whitten both of Saluda, Ernest Whitten of Savannah, Bo Whitten of Batesburg and Earl Harvey of Union, six sisters, Lois Johnson of Whitmire, Ernestine McKinney and Sallie Kinard both of Saluda, Pearl Whitten of Savannah, Lucy Langford of Cross Hill and Barbara Rowe Fain of Ninety Six, a grandson, Matthew Allen Seibert and lifelong friends Bob and Ann Bowles. Mr. Whitten was preceded in death by a brother, Buster Harvey, and a sister, Louise Turner. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday at Ramey Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Monday, August 29, 2016. at Saluda Church of God with Rev. Derrick Jones and Rev. Charles Houston officiating. Interment will follow in West Travis Park Cemetery. Williams, Joseph Henry "Joe" - Lexington  
Joseph Henry "Joe" Williams LEXINGTON Memorial service for Joseph Henry "Joe" Williams will be held on Monday, August 29, 2016, at 3:00 p.m. at Presbyterian Community Chapel, 700 DaVega Drive, Lexington, SC 29073. Rev. Dr. Ben Sloan will be officiating. Temples Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212 is handing all arrangements. Mr. Williams died on Friday, August 26, 2016, at the Presbyterian Community. He was born April 18, 1926, in Conway, SC, a son of the late Henry Tillman Williams and Luttie Martin Williams. After serving in the United States Navy in World War II, he attended the University of South Carolina and remained a faithful Gamecock and member of the Big Thursday Club until his death. He was a Life Member of Masonic Lodge #281 FAM, a Shriner, a member of Lake Murry Presbyterian Church, and a Charter Member and Deacon of Seven Oaks Presbyterian Church. He previously owned Palmetto Realty, Carolina Realty, Beacon Hill Bottle and Party Shop, and Powder Horn Sporting Goods. He retired after 25 years from Richland Wholesale Liquors as a salesman. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Lois Jean "Lodi" Williams of the Presbyterian Community; sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph R. "Randy" Williams and Sherrie Winter Williams of Jacksonville, FL, Larry Tillman Williams and Dee Camp of Spartanburg, SC, and Curtis Legere Williams of Columbia, SC; as well as six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Elvis, and sisters, Naomi Lewis, Mary Edna Koerner and Marvaden Graham. A graveside service will be held at Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery on Monday, August 29, 2016, at 4:00 p.m. A celebration of life will be held at the home of Catherine and Freddie Stabler, 514 Ezra Jumper Road, Swansea, SC, on Sunday, August 28, 2016, beginning at 4:00 p.m. Mr. Williamson was born in Lexington County, SC, a son of the late Willie Albert and Maggie E. Shumpert Williamson. Survivors include sons, Jimmy (Pam) Williamson, Terry Williamson; daughters, Catherine (Freddie) Stabler and Brenda (Glenn, Sr.) Hutto; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and three brothers. Weaver, Brett H. - Chapin  
Col. Brett H. Weaver CHAPIN Col. Brett H. Weaver (Ret.), of Chapin, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2016, with his wife of 40 years by his side. He was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and uncle. Born July 27, 1952, in Sulphur Springs, TX. Brett was commissioned into the Armor Corps upon graduating from The Citadel in 1974 and spent nearly 28 years proudly serving his county as a "TANKER". After retiring from military service in 2001, Brett and his family settled in Chapin, SC. Brett continued to work as a contractor to the U.S. Army and became an active member of Gideon's International. Brett served as a Deacon at Chapin Baptist Church where he taught a men's small group class and served on the Visitation Committee. Above all, Brett was most proud of his family. He married the former Susan Raines in 1976 and had three children. He is survived his wife, Susan; daughters, Aubrey Wood and her husband Todd of Falls Church, VA, and Ally Rivers and her husband Parker of Chapin, SC; son, Chad Weaver and his wife Anna of Chapin, SC; four grandchildren Ava Kate, Thomas, Charlotte, and Caroline; his parents Colonel Ret. Gene and Dorothy Weaver, and his brother, Col. Kurt Weaver (Ret.) and his wife Debbi and their family. A visitation will take place at Caughman Harmon Funeral Home, Chapin Chapel on Tuesday, August 23, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2016, at Chapin Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. Burial will take place in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA. www.caughmanharmanfuneralhome.net
