Ruth Lineberger Obituary

Ruth Oleta Lineberger RALEIGH, N.C. - Ruth Oleta Lineberger, 47, of 2524 Brook Crossing Circle, Raleigh, NC was born in the Wilton Community of southern Granville County, NC, to Rev. and Mrs. James W. Lineberger, Jr. on January 14, 1965. She died in Rex Healthcare Emergency Department on January 13, 2013, of massive systems failure! She was educated in Cary Elementary, Middle and High Schools. She graduated at the head of her class from the Amarillo Branch of the University of Texas with an AA degree as a Certified Pharmacy Technician. In her public school years she was an accomplished cake decorator, noted especially for her skill and ingenuity in creating cakes for children. She and her mother operated a very successful wedding catering business in which creating unusual wedding cakes was her specialty! In school, she often substituted a highly decorated cake on the subject for an essay assignment, much to the students' and teacher's enjoyment! These efforts always gained her an "A" grade! Even totally disabled, she operated her Jenome 350 Embroidery Sewing Machine on which she became especially skilled in using metallic thread! Using this, she created many beautiful, award-winning pieces of embroidery. A shirt or a jacket decorated by her was an item to be treasured as an heirloom! She enjoyed giving, even when it was a sacrifice! And she especially enjoyed her poodles, toy and tea cup! Her favorite charity was the annual "mission to the Navaho Indians and their animals" in Arizona conducted by the NC State Chapter of the Christian Veterinary Mission, led by Dr. Paige Wages. Through the years her loving spirit, her giving nature and her kind spirit, set her apart! She will be truly missed by her parents, her dog Wiggles and her friends Teresa, Barbara and Jennifer. A memorial service will be held 2 pm Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at First United Methodist Church of Cary, 117 S. Academy Street, Cary, NC 27511. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at a reception to be held in the Marti Bell Room in the Templeton Building at the church and other times at the home. A private inurnment will be held at a later date in Montlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be sent to Christian Veterinary Mission, c/o Dr. Paige Wages, Oberlin Animal Hospital, 1216 Oberlin Road, Raleigh, NC 27608. Condolences may be sent to www.BrownWynneCary.com.

Dear Jimmy, Mary Jack, and family,
Although I never knew Ruth as well as I had wished to, I remember the many wonderful stories about her, most of all, her wonderful spirit of kindness and love. Her dovotion to her family and pets, and the inconquerable determination to make every day count for something positive. Even when fully disabled, she continued to contribute to those around her with friendship, gifts, her talent with crafts and her devotion to her beloved animals. She will be missed here on earth, but her Spirit is walking the streets of heaven and she is having a grand time..... One day, the "Circle Will Be Unbroken" once again, and we will all rejoice, together again. .
