Dorothy Stewart Obituary

SILVERSTREET - Dorothy Long Stewart, 82, widow of Frank B. Stewart, died Monday, October 11, 2010, in Self Regional Hospital.

Born October 17, 1927, in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late John Grady and Bessie Sanders Long. She was the former executive secretary for Senn Trucking Company and ISE America and was also employed by the Newberry County School District. Mrs. Stewart was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church where she was a very active member of the Charlie Senn Sunday School Class, a member of the Silver and Gold and a former president of the Trinity United Methodist Women""'s Circle. She was the recipient of the Christian Lifetime Service Award given by Trinity United Methodist and was a member of S.A.L.T. at Silverstreet Lutheran Church.

Surviving are her sons, Danny Senn of Newberry, and Grady Senn and Henry (Lisha) Senn, both of Silverstreet; a sister, Frances Blake of Milton, WV; grandchildren, Jeremy (Maggie) Senn and Hayley Senn and a great-granddaughter, Jenna Senn. Mrs. Stewart was predeceased by a sister, Catherine Wiles.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 14, 2010, at Trinity United Methodist Church by the Rev. Hugh Bickley. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 ""' 8:00 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
