Bryson Downing COLUMBIA - A Memorial Service for Mr. Bryson Downing will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February, 10, 2015 at Bostick-Tompkins Funeral Home (2930 Colonial Drive, Columbia). Bostick-Tompkins Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Born in Newberry, South Carolina, Mr. Downing was son of the late Mrs. Inez Hair Downing and Mr. Eugene Downing. He passed away on Friday, February 6, 2015 at Lexington Medical Center. He was 65. Bryson worked at Kraft Foods in Newberry, South Carolina for 27 years until he moved to Columbia, South Carolina. He was employed with Tyson Foods for 18 years as a Refrigeration Superintendent. He is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. Loretta Downing; a daughter, Tarya Downing; a son Bryson (Vela) Downing; four grandchildren, Bryton Browning, Talayshia, Taniya and TaVerius Bobo; three brothers, David Downing, Roley Downing and Michael Downing; four sisters, Margie Downing, Dorothy Gean Dennis, Mary (Bobby) Ilupeju and Mary Nell (Willie) Wilson and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.
