Charles Walter Morris NEWBERRY 79, died Saturday, December 8, 2012, at Newberry County Memorial Hospital. Born on January 5, 1933, in Newberry, he was a son of the late Sam and Helen Franklin Morris. He was a graduate of Newberry College and a Korean War Air Force veteran. He was the retired owner of Morris Furniture Company and a member of Mayer Memorial Lutheran Church. Mr. Morris is survived by his wife, Nancy F. Morris; a son, Nick (Kim) Morris of Newberry; a daughter, Patti (Yancy) Floyd of Newberry; brothers, Billy Morris and Wayne Morris both of Prosperity; grandchildren, Brandi Riddle, Ashley Mason, Jason Buckner, Kelly Morris, Kristi Floyd and Jennifer Morris; great-grandchildren, Gabi and Colie Riddle. He was predeceased by a daughter, Phyllis Morris and a brother, Donald Morris. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm Monday, December 10, 2012, at Mayer Memorial Lutheran Church by the Rev. Dr. Mary Havens. Burial will follow in Rosemont Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 5:30 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
