Megan Gore Deaton SUMTER - Megan Gore Deaton, 30, died suddenly at her home on Tuesday, September 3, 2013. Born February 19, 1983, in Marion County, SC, she was a daughter of Albert C. and Denise Daniel Gore, Jr. Megan was an avid Clemson Tiger and Philadelphia Eagles fan and she loved her four-legged friend "Bella." Other than her parents of Tabor City and Murrells Inlet, Megan is survived by her devoted husband, William E. "Bill" Deaton of Sumter; beloved son, William Columbus "Cole" Deaton; sister, Wendy Williams; sister-in-law, Donna Jackson; aunts, Karla Elliott and Pamela Collins; uncles, Trevor Gore and Maurice Joe Hawes; lifelong best friend, Mary Catherine Arthur; and father-in-law, Donald Deaton. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Ed and Olivia Daniel; paternal grandparents, Emma and Albert C. Gore, Sr., and mother-in-law, Joann Marie Deaton Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, September 8 in the Lee Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cole Deaton Educational Fund, c/o any First Citizens Bank of South Carolina. A message of condolence may be sent to lfhome@sccoast.net.
