I knew Sam from waiting on him at Lizard's Thicket. He was the happiest person that I think I've ever met. He always had a smile on his face, and you would never hear him complain about anything. My co-workers and I were shocked and sad to hear of his passing. He will be missed by all of us at Oak Grove Lizard's Thicket. May you rest in peace, and dance with the angels, Mr. Sam.

My Dear Uncle Sam, I will surely miss you and your smile, but most of all your hugs. From the first time when you became my youth advisor till now the memories I will never forget. St. David's family will surely miss you and all that you shared with them. Dance with the Angels my friend.

Sam or Junior as we called him when we were young will surely been missed. He was so kind, funny about his rocking chair, giving in all ways, he loved us when we were small and continued that love through-out the years, with my children and grandchildren. He gave my grandson all of the trucks from Hess in September when we were home! I was so shocked when the news came...I know we are all getting older but, it is never expected! I know he is happy to be reunited with my aunt, his wife. He loved and took care of her through-out her life. He will be missed. I love you Sam and will miss you. Even over the miles we kept in touch, he was always offering his help in any way. He insisted we borrow his Thunderbird for our honeymoon, that was just Sam. Well, I could go on forever remembering all of the good times. I know where he is and look forward to seeing him again one day. Donna Rentz (neice)
