Donald Sullivan Obituary
Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Claudine Watson Sullivan and the late Donald F. Sullivan, Sr. Rocky was a retired Sergeant with the Department of Natural Resources. He loved to hunt, fish and was an avid Carolina Gamecocks fan. Rocky loved being in the outdoors with his dog, Trey. He was a loving father, son and brother and will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his son, Donald F. "Donny" Sullivan, III of Columbia, his mother, Claudine Sullivan of Columbia, brother, Gary Sullivan and wife Teresa of Ladson. Rocky also leaves behind his dog, Trey.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m. in McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, Goose Creek Chapel, 869 St. James Avenue. A memorial service will follow at 6:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the South Carolina Wildlife Law Enforcement Officers Association (SCWLEOA), P.O. Box 1424, Columbia, SC 29202 or South Carolina LEAP (Law Enforcement Chaplaincy Program), 2501 Hayward Street, Columbia, SC 29205.

Rocky was a real close friend of mine my first two years of high shcool. Got to know him, his folks and brother real well and I will never forget any of them. Nice people! So sorry to hear of his passing.

Gary, I am so sorry. I just found out about Rocky. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the Sullivan family. I always like talking to Rocky when he would call in. He sure will be missed.

Great Lord, let your winds be gentle and your skies be heavy, let there be a blanket of fresh snow to track the Antlered One as did my forefathers, and grant that I find him with antlers like a tree, branches wide and mighty.
Grant that my hand be steady, my aim be true, and my drag short.
But most of all grant that my children, and their children, and their childrens children have the wisdom to preserve your work in the forest, field, and stream, so that they too can one day hunt the Antlered One in the footsteps of their forefathers.
Mr. Rocky was such an influential and important part of my childhood.A big part of who I am today is because of him. The Sullivan family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Words seem inadequate to express how deeply saddened we are by Rocky's sudden death.

My family met Rocky 10 years ago. He was such a wonderful caring person, always wanting to help and gave so much to the town of Summerville and my family. He was like a son to me and my husband. He will be missed by all of us. Our prayers are with his family. God Bless. Joy and Lee LeCouter

I was truly devastated to learn of Rocky's passing. I share your grief and offer my deepest condolanes. Having lost my oldest son, who was Rocky's age and grew up with he and all the other SLED children, make unexpected passings even harder to understand. We have lost a true American hero, a man that gave so much back to the people of South Carolina, a man that understood that through hard work and perseverance anything and every thing was possible.
