Grandpa I love you and I'm sorry about the things that I said to you the last time that I saw you. I should of been nicer and more caring. But I was too selfish to care if I was mean. I didn't realize how quickly you could be taken from my life. You will be missed so much. I love you more then words can even say.! Again I'm sorry and I miss you. <3 I just wish that you were here! It hurts so much that you are gone. :/ I have realized a lot of things, since you have been gone. I love and miss you grandpa.

Bill was a kind and gentle man with an ever-present smile and chuckle. He had a unique sense of humor and loved his photography and astronomy and sharing it with others. I am deeply saddened by his passing and will miss his laugh.

Billy, it was great to take all those photos together during these past few years. It will be forever different knowing you're not taking pictures of the stars — then again, you're with the stars now. You were much loved and will be much missed.

The staff and Commissioners of the Greenville Recreation and Parks Department greatly appreciate all Bill did for our department and the people we serve. His efforts as a member of the Recreation and Parks Commission illustrated his belief that high quality recreation and parks facilities and services will have a highly positive impact on the communtiy, and he consistently visited our parks, programs and events both as a Commissioner and a photographer, always with a camera in hand and a good word for staff. We will miss him.
