Dean Anthony Rockwood SUMTER - Dean Anthony Rockwood, 52, husband of Diana Rockwood, died Tuesday, January 22, 2013, in Tuomey Regional Medical Center. Born in Rome, NY, he was a son of David A. Rockwood and Dorothy T. Rockwood. Mr. Rockwood was a member St. Anne Catholic Church and attended Westside Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and was employed as a graphics coordinator at Morris College. Survivors include his wife of Sumter; his parents of Sumter; a son, Daniel L. Rockwood of Arlington, VA; a daughter, Dayona N. Rockwood of Greenville; a sister, Darlene Rockwood of Sumter; and two brothers, Daniel B. Rockwood of Stuart, FL, and Del John Rockwood of Sumter; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Anne Catholic Church with Father Tom Burke officiating. Burial with military honors will be in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home, and other times at the home of his parents, 16 Alice Drive. Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
