Earnie Lennie Montgomery COLUMBIA - Graveside service for Earnie Lennie Montgomery, 90, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Greenlawn Serenity Gardens. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family. Mr. Montgomery died Monday, March 11, 2013. Born in Allisonia, Va., he was a son of the late Franklin James and Allie Elizabeth Montgomery. Mr. Montgomery was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII, Korea and Vietnam and the recipient of the bronze star medal. Surviving are his wife, Gisela Heerlein Montgomery; daughter, Patricia (Hampton) Saussy of Columbia; brothers, Willie Montgomery of Maryland and Dorsie Montgomery of Virginia; sisters, Ivory Combs, Lorene Janney, Lucille Gallimore and Sylvia Turpin, all of Virginia. The family wishes to thank Tri-County Hospice and especially Johnnie Mae, Vanessa, and Sue for their care and compassion.
