Helen Louise Nutt SUMMERVILLE - Funeral service for Helen Louise Nutt, 86, will be held at noon, Friday, March 1, 2013, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel. A graveside service will be held for Helen and her husband, the late Chief Warrant Officer, George R. Nutt, USA (Dec., April 9, 1993) at 2:00 p.m. in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. Military honors will be performed for the late George Nutt. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the funeral home. Mrs. Nutt died Saturday, February 23, 2013. Born in Jacksonville, FL, she was a, daughter of the late James Davis and Essie Williams Cooper. She was a graduate of Union High School in Union, SC, and attended Spartanburg Junior College and Spartanburg General School of Nursing where she met her late husband, George Robert Nutt. She and George moved to Trenton, NJ, where they started a family. She retired from E.T.S. in Princeton, NJ, in 1985, and relocated to Summerville, SC, in 1986. She was a member of Summerville Presbyterian Church where she was very active and a member of The Circle and former Chairman of the Congregational Care. Mrs. Nutt was a volunteer at Trident Medical Center and was an avid Bridge player. Surviving are daughters, Nancy Martin of Blythewood, Phyllis Farreny (Harry) of Mercerville, NJ; son, Robert W. Nutt (Deanna) of Mount Laurel, NJ; grandchildren, Jacqueline (Kenneth) Hagge, Jennifer (Brent) Davis, Jessica Farreny, Kristopher Farreny; great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Trey, Deven and Madalin. She is also survived by a brother, James D. Cooper; sister, Rose Mary Arrington; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Harry Martin; one brother and four sisters.
