Jane Salisbury Obituary

Jane Salisbury WEST COLUMBIA - Jane Salisbury, 76, of West Columbia, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 12, 2014, following a very long illness. Born April 14, 1937, in Norwich, New York, she was the daughter of Emory and Carrie Cook Salisbury and grew up in Norwich, graduating from Norwich High in 1955. She worked many years for Chick-fil-a at Dutch Square Mall in Columbia, South Carolina. She joined Green Hill Baptist Church in West Columbia on September 16, 1982 where she was dearly loved by her church family. She was a Sunday School teacher in the Lydia Class, a member of the Sanctuary Choir and a member of the Sunshine Group. She was predeceased by her twin brother, Eugene F. Salisbury of Orange, Massachusetts. Surviving her death are sister-in-law, Dorothy Salisbury, nephews, Timothy and David, and niece, Martha (Keith), and great nieces, all of Orange. A memorial service will be held on Sunday at noon at Green Hill Baptist Church located at 1800 Augusta Road, West Columbia, SC 29169. The service will be officiated by Russell Laird and Pastor Rev. Brett W. Marlowe. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Green Hill Baptist Church.
