Josette Hall Bass COLUMBIA - Memorial Services for Josette Hall Bass, 44, of 905 Walters Lane Road, will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 8, 2012 and a visitation will be held Friday, September 7, 2012 from 6 - 8 p.m. both at Trinity Church located at at 1501 Hallbrook Drive. A. A. Dicks Funeral Home Sullivan Chapel 2548 Main Street is in charge of these arrangements. She passed away quietly in her home on August 30th, 2012. She was born in Columbia, SC on December 9th, 1967. Josette graduated from W.J. Keenan High School in 1986, then from Midlands Technical College in 1994 as a pharmacy technician. Josette met the love of her life, David Bass, in her home room at Keenan High School. They dated and fell in love in the years after and married on March 20th, 1993 in the Clement Road Church of God. David and Josette have three beautiful daughters, Summer (19), Savannah (15) and Dallas (11). Josette devoted her life to them. Josette was a faithful Christian and attended Trinity Church as often as her health would allow. She enjoyed her calling in Sunday School where the children loved her interactive approach to Christian study. Those who knew Josette loved her for her sense of humor and no-nonsense approach to life. Josette was passionate and fearless in expressing her ideas and desires. These qualities combined with her small stature made for an interesting and amusing friend, indeed. For many years, Josette overcame anemia and cancer to care for her children only to succumb once her youngest had grown to be an amazingly independent child. Josette fought to the very end, to her last breath, to be here for her children. In every sense of the word, Josette was a beautiful woman. Josette is survived by her husband, David Bass, her daughters, Summer, Savannah and Dallas, her mother, Julia Jerome and her sister, Isis Jerome.
