Rodney Rittenhouse URBANA, Ohio - Rodney Rittenhouse, 72, of Urbana, Ohio, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2014, in Lexington, SC. He was born August 2, 1941, a son of the late Homer and Minnie Alice Rittenhouse. Rodney served his country in the United States Navy. He retired from Thomas Marker Construction. Rodney enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting, woodworking, playing cards and gambling. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis (Branham) Rittenhouse, his daughters, LaDeana L. (Alan E.) Fryling and Karen S. (Chadd M.) Rozmus, his grandchildren, Elizabeth Fryling, Brandon M. Rozmus and Jeramia A. Rozmus; his brothers, Eillis (Connie), Duane (Annette) and Dale (Carol) Rittenhouse; sisters, Lou Coleman, Sheila (Dennis) Herron, Lois (Richard) Ewing and Rhee (Richard) Burden; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his son, Michael D. Rittenhouse. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 7, 2014, at VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana. Visitation 11 a.m. 1 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in Oak Dale Cemetery, Urbana. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.vernonfh.com.
