Margie Boatwright Dickert COLUMBIA - Funeral service for Margie Boatwright Dickert, 86, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 31, 2014, at Main Street United Methodist Church, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Harold P. Lewis and Rev. Joe Cal Watson. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6:00 p.m. Sunday, March 30, 2014, at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. Mrs. Dickert died Friday, March 28, 2014. Born in Ridge Spring, she was a daughter of the late Albert Gaston and Myrtle Turner Boatwright. She graduated from Ridge Spring High School in 1944, and graduated from Draughan's Business College in 1945. She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church since 1947. A member of Susanna Wesley Sunday School Class over 60 years, member of United Methodist Women. Mrs. Dickert was the administrative assistant at Main Street United Methodist Church for 19 years, and volunteered at Baptist Medical Center for over 16 years. A member of Women to Women Bible Study group. Surviving are sons, Larry Dickert (Cheryl) of Lugoff and Michael Dickert (Jenny) of Blythewood; daughter-in-law Sharon Dickert of Pinetta, Fla.; grandchildren, Earl Dickert (Rebecca), Laura Dickert, William Dickert (Megan), David Dickert (Ashley), Paul Dickert (Adriana), Kathryn King (Greg), Ashley Dickert; and, great-grandchildren, Shannon, Ashton, Charlie, William. She was predeceased by her husband Earl M. Dickert, Jr.; son, Richard Earl Dickert; brother, Leon G. Boatwright; and sister, Opal B. Asbill.
