Thandal Haze "T.H." Dorsey COLUMBIA - Thandal Haze "T.H." Dorsey, of Columbia passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at the age of 74 due to an extended illness. Born in Cleveland, GA, he was the son of the late Reverend Asa G. Chandler Dorsey and Annie Kate Palmer. Mr. Dorsey attended the University of Tampa where he played football, and he was an avid Gamecock fan. He honorably served in the Marine Corps from '58-62, during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was the former CEO of Eagle Aviation in Columbia and he was currently the owner of Phillips Motors (Phillips-Autotech). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Leethal Derrick Dorsey and sister, Desma Dorsey Love. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Saeko "Cupie" Dorsey; siblings, Sharrell Dorsey, Miriam Vandiver, Bradley Dorsey, Phillip Dorsey, Trilla Pruitt and Fonda Riley; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service for T.H. Dorsey, will be held at 2pm Saturday, April 5, 2014 in the chapel of Kornegay & Moseley Funeral Home, 4645 Hard Scrabble Road, with Reverend Brett Deyoung officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service on Monday, April 7, 2014 in Cleveland, GA with military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Palmetto Health Children's Hospital, Cancer unit, 7 Richland Medical Park, Columbia, SC 29203.
