Patricia Harden Lackey COLUMBIA - A graveside service to celebrate the life of Patricia "Pat" Harden Lackey will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2014, in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family. Ms. Lackey died Tuesday, May 27, 2014. Born in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Richard Earl Harden and Margaret Durrett Harden. Pat graduated from Dreher High School and attended Furman University. She enjoyed employment with Richland County District #1 School System, South Carolina Education Association, Governor's Office of Executive Policy and Programs, Office of Highway Safety, U.S. District Court, U.S. Probation Offices and retired from the South Carolina Department of Public Safety. Pat was a charter member of the Sandlapper Chapter of the American Business Women's Association. She was a volunteer under the auspices of the American Red Cross at the Veterans' Hospital. She was a member of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church and taught church school for 4-6 year olds for a number of years. She was also an inactive member in a chapter of the Daughters of the Confederacy. Her special interest included genealogy, reading and researching the history of Columbia. Surviving are her sister-in-law, Rev. Ruth C. Roberts; cousins, Robert W. Durrett of Columbus, Ohio, Margaret Davis of Augusta, Ga,. and Jonathan Durrett of Columbia. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Richard Earl Harden Jr. and nephew, Richard Edward Harden. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to , P.O.
