Winfield Phillip "Boots" Fuller Jr. COLUMBIA - Graveside service for Winfield Phillip "Boots" Fuller Jr., 85, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2014, in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family. Mr. Fuller died Friday, August 1, 2014. Born in Charlotte, N.C., he was a son of the late Winfield P. Fuller Sr. and Mabel Cuthbertson Fuller. He graduated from Dreher High School and the University of South Carolina. He served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Fuller was a lifetime member of Disabled American Veterans and the VFW. He was also a member of the American Legion, Golden K Kiwanis Club and Eastminster Presbyterian Church. Mr. Fuller was an avid gamecock fan. Surviving are his nephew, Gene W. Fuller of Va.; cousin, David McCaskill of Mt. Pleasant; and several other nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Gene Fuller Sr. The family wishes to thank the faithful staff of the VA Hospital and his fellow Kiwanis members for their love and support.
