Billy Whaley WILLISTON - Funeral service for William Albert "Billy" Whaley, 67, of Williston, SC, will be held three p.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at Hillcrest Baptist Church with the Reverend Bob Boone officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from six to eight p.m. Tuesday, October 22, 2013, at Folk Funeral Home in Williston. Memorial contributions may be given to Hillcrest Baptist Church (missions), 20378 Hwy. 278, Williston, SC 29853. Billy passed away Sunday, October 20, 2013, at his home. Born in Springfield, SC, he was a son of the late Hugh K. Whaley, Sr. and Margie Williams Whaley. He served in the Army National Guard during the Vietnam War, retired as a supervisor from Admiral Corporation - a division of Magic Chef, and formerly worked for Maytag. He owned and operated Whaley's Construction for more than 20 years and was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, was a Sunday School teacher, a member of the church choir and the Brotherhood. Survivors include his loving wife, Cathy Westall Whaley of the home; daughter, Denice W. Kelly of Williston; son, William E. "Eddie" Whaley of Aiken; grandchildren, Janna Whaley, Hunter and Coty Kelly; sisters, Faye Bodiford, Louise (Wyman) McCaw, all of Williston, and Elisabeth Hinshaw of Branchville; and a number of nieces and nephews.
