Hugh Lagran Buzhardt BATESBURG - Hugh Lagran Buzhardt, 89, passed away Friday, April 29, 2016. Funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m. in the Milton Shealy Funeral Home chapel with entombment in Christ the Good Shepherd Mausoleum with Rev. Hank Fanning officiating. Visitation will be held after the service at the funeral home. Mr. Buzhardt was born in Saluda County, SC, a son of the late Hugh M. and Harriett Myrtle Buzhardt. Mr. Buzhardt was a member of West Creek Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Surviving are his wife, Mildred Lake Buzhardt; sons and daughters-in-law, Elon (Pansy) Buzhardt, Simon (Paula) Buzhardt, Jason Buzhardt, David (Janice) Bennett; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Ida (Geoff) Timms, Jane (Marty) Amerson; brother, Dr. Richard Elbert Buzhardt; sister, Francis Helen B. McCarty; grandchildren: Libby (Will) Clark, Elissa (Brad) Barnes, Jay (Amber) Buzhardt, Cory Buzhardt, Martin (Kelly) Amerson, Sharon Amerson, Kristin (Ed) Taylor, Shiela (Mark) Reual and Cheryl (Clint) Paut; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brothers, John Pete, Troy Winton, Jesse Theron, David Russell and Larry Calhoun Buzhardt.
