Mathews, Kathryn S. "Kaye"  
KATHRYN MATHEWS ALTON — Kathryn "Kaye" S. Mathews, 87, died at 1:10 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Eunice Smith Nursing Home in Alton. She was born February 12, 1929, in Alton, the daughter of Louis and Martha (Kunkler) Prullage. She was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Alton. She was a bookkeeper for the Alton Telegraph for many years. On May 30, 1953, in Alton, she married Richard Mathews, and he preceded her in death on August 30, 2003. Surviving are two daughters, Cathy Gore (Steve) of St. Charles, Missouri, and Teresa Toner (Mike) of Edwardsville, three sons, Mark Mathews (Paula) of Dow, Illinois, Steve Mathews (Michelle) of Godfrey and Tim Mathews (Mary) of Godfrey; 12 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, three stepgreat-grandchildren; one brother, Tom Prullage of Godfrey, and one sister, Martha Rynders of Alton. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Jenna, two brothers, Jim and Bob Prullage, and three sisters, Patricia Storm, Jean Tosovsky and Charlene Prullage. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, May 27, 2016 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. A funeral mass will be at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 28, 2016, at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Alton with Msg. Kenneth Steffen officiating. Burial will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Godfrey. Memorials may be made to SS Peter and Paul School and SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church. The family would like to thank the staff of United Methodist Village, BJC Hospice and Eunice Smith Nursing Home for their professional, loving and generous care provided for their mother. EVERETT MEISENHEIMER EAST ALTON — Everett M. Meisenheimer, 68, passed away at 11:23 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2016, at his residence. He was born on July 3, 1947, in Alton, the son of the late Marvin and Lucille (Silveus) Meisenheimer. He married the former Ellen Sears on September 16, 2005, in Edwardsville, and she survives. Other survivors include one brother: Daniel Meisenheimer, one nephew: Dustin Elberg, and his close cousins: Don Crumley and Dana Silveus. He was formerly employed at Olin in the casing department. He then worked at Beverly Farm Foundation. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister: Susan Minks, and one brother: David Meisenheimer. In accordance with his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. Memorial visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2016, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. AUDREY ORY WOOD RIVER — Audrey Helen Ory, 98, passed away, peacefully, in her sleep at 10:30 p.m. Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Alton Memorial Hospital. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, on October 16, 1917, she was the daughter of John Oran and Bella Ann (Clouatre) Ory. Her family moved from New Orleans to Cairo, Illinois, where she resided until World War II. She then moved to Wood River and worked at Western Cartridge (Olin Corporation), retiring in 1982. Audrey was a longtime member St. Bernard Catholic Church (now Holy Angels Parish) in Wood River. She traveled all over the world, maintaining an extreme love of her church and family. She had been the longest living resident of Integrity Healthcare of Wood River (VIP Manor), residing there over 18 years. She is survived by a sister, Lelia Marie Nasser of Houston, Texas; and 16 nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; three brothers, John Leo, John Rene and Flint Joseph Ory; and a sister, Shirley Marie Liley. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, June 2 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, June 3 at Holy Angel Parish Church in Wood River. Father James Flach will officiate. Burial will follow in Woodland Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Holy Angels Parish Church in Wood River.

WEST POINT, VIRGINIA - Sabra Raychelle Raulston, 43, of West Point, Virginia passed away May 24, 2016. She was born March 2, 1973, in Alton, Illinois, and graduated from Gloucester High School and Radford University. She is survived by her parents, J. David Givens of Mattaponi, Virginia and Anita Givens of Bethalto, Illinois; her children, Mary-Kathryn Raulston of Richmond and Brenden Raulston of West Point; a brother, Chad Nelson of London, Ontario; a sister, Amanda Combs (Brian) of Mattaponi; a nephew, Benjamin Combs and a niece, Bailey Combs; and many other extended family members. Sabra's loves in life were teaching children and rescuing animals. She also loved volunteering with the rescue squad. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, May 29, 2016 at Vincent Funeral Home, 417 11th Street, West Point, VA 23181. HELEN RINTOUL WOOD RIVER — Helen Marie Rintoul, 84, passed away the morning of May 23, 2016, at her daughter's home. Born in Wood River on September 2, 1931, she was the ninth and last child of John H. and Amelia (Byron) Mize. She had been employed as a secretary for the Olin Corporation for 35 years before retiring in 1990. Helen enjoyed playing "Bridge," reading, doing puzzles and listening to all music. She was a great cook and loved feeding her family. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandson. Her marriage to Franklin E. Rintoul took place on October 2, 1954, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Wood River. He preceded her in death on October 26, 1980. Surviving are a daughter, Tracy (Dave) McEuen of Bethalto; two sons, Greg (Gina) Rintoul of Hartford, Dave Rintoul of Reno, Illinois; three grandchildren, Jessica McEuen (Marq Quiller), Kyle McEuen, Andrew Rintoul; great-grandson, Abram Ray Quiller; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; four brothers and four sisters and their spouses, John and Sue Mize, Joe and Helen Mize, Leo and Isabella Mize, William Mize (in infancy), Edna and Leo Geison, Marguerite and Ray Batty, Bernadine and Joe Crane and Lucille Mize (in infancy). Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, May 26 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Funeral and burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday, May 27 at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens Chapel in Bethalto. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association.
