ALTON - Cynthia S. Linenfelser, 67, passed away 5:05 a.m. Monday, June 29, 2015, at Alton Memorial Hospital.
Born in St. Louis, she was the daughter of Eugene A. and Ruth V. (McKee) Lenau.
She had worked for Dr. Anschuetz for many years, then assisted and founded "Senior Advantage" in Alton before serving as medical office manager for Family Medicine in Collinsville.
She enjoyed playing softball and golf.
On November 1, 1975, in Alton, she married Robert Linenfelser, Sr. He died May 30, 2006.
Surviving are two daughters, Tammy (Shannon) Lambert of Franklin, Tenn., Dina (Dino) Taylor of Rosewood Heights; four grandchildren, Danielle Church, Radeana Taylor, Lauren Lambert, Samuel Lambert; three great-grandchildren, Kayden Flowers, Tragen and Amya Cooper; brother, Gary (Phyllis) Lenau of Missouri; two sisters, Marilyn (Jim) Holmes of Wentzville, Mo., and Sandy (Steve) Shaw of Missouri.
Her parents; and a son, Robert Linenfelser, Jr. preceded in death.
Visitation will be from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, July 5, at Marks Mortuary in Wood River, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, July 6, Pastor Michael Southcombe will officiate.
Burial will follow in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation.

I have such wonderful memories of my BFF beginning in 8th grade! We had sooo much fun--we were quite a pair!! Sports were our life - what a tremendous athlete; but most of all what a loving & caring friend.
