WARRENVILLE — Ralph Phillips Igo, 86, died July 24, 2014, devoted husband of the late Phyllis, nee Croak, beloved father of Patrick (Marcos Estrada), Susan Igo (the late Dennis Ferrell), Christine Igo (Marc Cooperman) and Tana Cothran (Ron); adored "Grumpy" to Kaleb, Lucas, Abigail and Samuel Cooperman, Briana and Morrigan Cothran, Enrique, Lupe, Ralph, Phyllis and Xytiali Estrada-Igo.

Ralph was born in Centrailia, Ill., on July 18, 1928, and was raised in Alton. He was son of the late Ralph Edwin and Dorothy Igo, brother of Vincent and the late Richard and Jean Roderfeld.

Ralph served in and was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps. Ralph studied architecture at Shurtleff College and the University of Illinois. He practiced as a licensed architect in both private practice and for the State of Illinois. Ralph was a great friend and mentor of so many and an avid gardener. His quick wit, laughter and great storytelling will be missed.
