Thomas McCormick
ALTON
Thomas Elwood McCormick, 65, passed away at 10:52 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, at home.
He was born on Aug. 1, 1948, in Logan, W. Va. the son of Charles Jackson and Ada (Robinette) McCormick.
He retired from Safety Kleen as their Video Manager for training videos. He graduated from SIU-Edwardsville where he earned his Bachelor of Science Degree and loved to hunt and fish.
He is survived by his mother, Ada McCormick of Alton; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Derek McCormick of Wood River, and Kevin and Barbie McCormick of Dow, Ill.; two daughters, Lisa McCormick of Alton, and Kelly McCormick of Florissant, Mo.; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Rick and Donna McCormick, Mark and Cheryl McCormick, and Scott McCormick; a sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Alan Swiney; and four grandchildren, Gage, Aubrey, Libby and Emma.
He is preceded in death by his father; and a brother, Larry.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, November 30, 2013, at 2:00 pm, at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton with Pastor Roy Rhodes officiating.
A private family burial will take place at a later date.
Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of arrangements.
