ZELORA GROVER

ROLLA, MO. — Zelora Annabelle (Crader) Grover, 86 of Rolla, Mo., formerly of Godfrey, Ill., wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away Monday, August 4, 2014.

She was born in Hamburg, Ill., on Feb. 6, 1928. She was the daughter of Rufus and Cordelia (Campbell) Crader.

Ann was a member of Greentree Christian Church in Rolla. She married Norman J. Grover on April 14, 1950, in Jerseyville, and he passed away on July 22, 2002.

Surviving are three sons and daughters-in- law: Gene and Deanna Grover of St. James, Mo., Jerry and Yvonne Grover of Scottsdale, Ariz., Jim and Monica Grover of Texas City, Texas; five grandchildren: Jesse, Katelin, Lauren, James and Melanie Grover; and one great-grandson, Luke Burlage. Also surviving is one sister, Loretta O'Neal of Godfrey; and three brothers, Harrison Crader of Mason, Ohio, Dean of Columbus, Ohio, and Gordon of Thornville, Ohio; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Norman; five sisters, Phydella (Joe) Ulery, Viola (Orland) Elledge, Sally (Harold) Treash, Naomi (Floyd) Lewis and Martie Manna; two brothers, Jay (Rose) Crader and Gary Crader; and a brother-in-law, Gene O'Neal.

Ann never met a stranger. She enjoyed visiting and cooking for everyone she knew. She always put everyone else's needs before her own. She led by example and was both an inspiration and a "rock" for her family. She cherished her grandkids and they in turn adored her. Her three boys were so lucky to have her as their mom and will miss her dearly.
