NANCY ANN GERDT
GODFREY — Nancy Ann Gerdt, 76, died at 2:05 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014, at V.I.P. Manor in Wood River.
Born June 9, 1938, in Alton, she was the daughter of Perry and Lillie (Godwin) Campbell.
She retired from the Alton School District in 2001 as a cafeteria worker at Lewis and Clark Grade School. She was a member of the Salem Presbyterian Church and enjoyed traveling, having visited all 50 states as well as numerous other countries.
On Feb. 26, 1955, she married Arnold E. Gerdt in Corinth, Miss. He survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Randall "Randy" Gerdt (Shelia Diane) of Granite City, Danny Gerdt of Godfrey and Gary Gerdt (Mary) of Roxana, three grandchildren, Travis, Jonah and Hannah Gerdt.
Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, at Gent Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 15, 2014. Reverend Charles Hoekstra will officiate. Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
Memorials may be made to the Salem Presbyterian Church.
