Maureen Bonham, 73, of Waymart, died Friday at home after a brief illness. Her husband of 49 years, Raymond Bonham, died in 2011.
Born in Waymart, where she resided all her life, she was the daughter of the late J. Robert and Anne Moylan Davis. Before retirement, she was a secretary for the Western Wayne School District, where she was employed for 34 years.
She is survived by three children, Kevin, Scott Twp.; Cindy Harney and husband, Sean, Lowville, N.Y.; and Karen Turner and husband, Clay, Carbondale; five grandchildren, Meghan, Patrick and Daniel Harney, and Raymond and Rebecca Bonham; two brothers, Robert, Riverdale, N.J.; and John, Honesdale; a sister, Ann Marie Matoushek, Rochester, N.Y.; nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral service and interment will be private.
Friends may call Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Jenkins Funeral Home, 269 Belmont St., Waymart. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Waymart Ambulance Corps, P.O. Box F, Waymart, PA 18472; or to Waymart Volunteer Fire Compamy, P.O. Box 186, Waymart, PA 18472.
