Anthony P. Pusateri of West Scranton died Friday evening in the home of his son, Ronald, in Dunmore. His wife of 60 years, the former Nancy H. Romiti, died June 4, 2010.
Born in Scranton, son of the late Joseph and Rose Rini Pusateri and his late stepmother, Clementina Romiti Pusateri, he was educated in Scranton schools and a graduate of Scranton Technical High School. He was a veteran of the Navy. Following his service time, he attended night classes at the University of Scranton and became a CPA. He was employed as a CPA working for numerous area businesses. He was a very active member of St. Lucy's Church and it's Holy Name Society. He was a Fourth Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the Professional Bowlers Association Senior Tour.
He was an avid golfer. He was devoted to his faith and was a kind and loving person to all.
Surviving are four sons, Jim and wife, Deborah, Scranton; Joseph, Scranton; Thomas, Woodstock, Ga.; and Ronald and wife, Darlene, Dunmore; three grandchildren, Danielle Pusateri and Jessica and Ian Roberts; one great-grandson, Anthony James Fritz; two sisters, Anna Radgowski, Scranton; and Rose Menichetti and husband, Joseph, Meriden, Conn.; nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by one sister, Mary Stevens; and one brother, Peter Pusateri.
The funeral will be Monday, Carl J. Savino Funeral Home, 157 S. Main Ave., Scranton, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Lucy's Church, 949 Scranton St., Scranton. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.
Friends may call Sunday, 2 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Memorial Fund of the VNA Hospice Home Health, 301 Delaware Ave., Olyphant, PA 18447.
