Albert A. Daugevelo, 93, of Forest City, died Monday at home. His wife, the former Rose Kotar, died in 2004.
Born on the family homestead in Clinton Twp., he was the son of the late Paul and Lugora Walentynowicz Daugevelo. A graduate of Aldenville School and Pleasant Mount High School, he was a member of Ascension Parish, Forest City. He was the owner of Ros-Al Photo Studio, Carbondale, for more than 50 years. He did photography work for all the local newspapers, including The Scranton Times, the Carbondale News and the Forest City News during his career. He was a former Republican committeeman in Susquehanna County.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. A great joy of his life was working on the family farm.
Surviving are two sons, Alan Daugevelo and wife, Debbie; and Paul Daugevelo, all of Forest City; a sister, Pauline Daugevelo, Clinton Twp.; several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Lugora Rychlicki, Theresa Marshall and Helen Poska; and a brother, Francis Douglas.
The funeral will be Thursday from the Jones & Brennan Funeral Home, 430 Main St., Forest City, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, Delaware Street, Forest City. Interment, St. Joseph's Cemetery, Forest City. Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
