Allan J. Lake, 63, of Olyphant, died Tuesday morning at Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton.
Born March 31, 1949, in Jersey City, N.J., son of the late George and Catherine Reynolds Lake, he was a former resident of New Jersey and had resided in the area for the past 10 years. Before his illness, he had been employed as a platform worker in the trucking industry for many years and was of the Catholic faith. He enjoyed playing the lottery and watching television programs and movies about paranormal activity.
He is survived by two sisters, Lorraine Calabrese, Carbondale; and Doris Davis, Keansburg, N.J.; four brothers, Kenneth Lake, Florida; Gerard Hess, Fort Myers, Fla.; Donald Hess, Scranton; and Charles Richard Hess, Nutley, N.J.; nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Albert Lake, his twin; Walter and Dennis Hess; and three sisters, Agnes Ambessi, Barbara Lanni and Carol Lawler. A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Willow View Cemetery, Clifford.
