Andrea Romeo Uhrin

Andrea Romeo Uhrin, 70, of Eynon, died Wednesday at the Mid-Valley Hospital, Peckville. Her husband is Paul J. Uhrin Sr. and they had been married for 45 years.

Born in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Anthony Sr. and Pearl Libudziewski Romeo. She was a member of Christ the King Parish at St. Mary of Czestochowa Church, Eynon. She was a graduate of St. Patrick's School, Olyphant. She worked at Friendly's Restaurant in Eynon, also the Valley View School District cafeteria, Insalacos, Peckville, and the snack bar in Sugermans, Eynon. Before retirement, she worked for Caregivers of America.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her favorite times were spent with her family. She also enjoyed watching football and baseball.

Surviving are a son, Paul J. Uhrin Jr., Peckville; daughters, Nadine Hunt and husband, Robert, Mayfield; and Andrea M. Kropiewnicki, Olyphant; twin siblings, David Uhrin, Peckville; and Diane Mullally and husband, Kevin, Gardena, Calif.; a brother, Anthony C. Romeo Jr., Dickson City; and sister, Isabelle Wolf, Scranton; grandchildren, Sabrina, Courtney, Abigayle and Nathan Hunt; David Jr. and Steven Uhrin; Angel Kropiewnicki, Christopher Manger Jr., Alex and Ryan Mullally; and great-grandchildren, Blake, Antonio and Hannah.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Jack Romeo.

The funeral will be Monday with Mass celebrated by the Rev. Christopher Sahd at 9:30 a.m. in Christ the King Parish at St. Mary of Czestochowa, Eynon. Interment will be in St. Francis Cemetery in Eynon. Friends and family are asked to go directly to the church on the morning of the funeral.  

Friends may call Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Robert E. Decker Funeral Home, 702 River St., Peckville.
