Angelo M. Giulivo Jr. of Carbondale died Thursday.
He was the son of the late Angelo and Louise Giulivo. Angelo served honorably for four years in the Navy during the Korean War
. He then served another two years in Guam and the Pacific. He worked for the Air Force and Army on missiles and repairing helicopters for 30 years, including at the Cumberland Depot.
In all, Angelo was recognized for 35 years of federal service. Most recently, he was employed by the Hampton Inn at Montage Mountain for the past 17 years.
Anyone who met Angelo knew he had a heart of gold and a personality that would make everyone smile.
Surviving are an aunt, Margaret Leo of Carbondale; an uncle, Joseph Ciance, Carbondale; nephews and cousins.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Louie.
The funeral will be Monday from the Lawrence A. Gabriel Funeral Home, 2 Hospital St., Carbondale, with Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Carbondale.
Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill.
