Ann Andruzak Fara, 94, died on Jan. 23 at her daughter's home in Arlington, Texas, from complications from pneumonia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Fara.
She was born June 23, 1918, at home in Reading, the last of six children of the late Theodore and Mary Neiheimer Andruzak, she was raised in the Reading area. She met and married her husband, and the couple relocated to the Clarks Summit area in 1951, where they established their longtime home.
Ann was a free spirit who shared her loving persona with all, but her first priority was always her husband and children. She was a wonderful homemaker and made friends easily with all age groups. Her home was viewed by many of her children's friends as a second home. Ann enjoyed traveling, eating out, clothing shopping and her friends. In her later years, after the death of her husband, Ann spent time in Memphis, Tenn.; Bend, Ore.; and Arlington, Texas. She passed away surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her six children, Judith Stafford and husband, Robert; Michele Mann and husband, John; Michael and wife, Maryann; Dr. Lisa Fara, Christopher and wife, Pamela; and Victoria Pride and husband, Frank; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was also predeceased by her four siblings.
Services and interment were private. Her family invites friends and relatives to join them at a celebration of life luncheon on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Nichols Village Inn, Chinchilla.
