Ann H. Goldman, 84, of Scranton, died Wednesday at the Jewish Home of Eastern Pennsylvania, Scranton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allan, in 1988.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Irving and Fannye Kurlancheek Glazer, she was a graduate of Scranton Central High School and a member of Hadassah, Temple Israel, and the Anthracite Bridge League. She was widely known and highly respected in area bridge circles as an expert player and teacher of bridge, having attained the rank of life master.
Ann was a loving mother and grandmother whose family was a strong focus in her life. She took particular joy in spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are two sons, attorney Irve Goldman, spouse attorney Susan Lacy Goldman and grandchildren, Alex, Daniel and Jillian, Redding, Conn.; and Scott Goldman and spouse, Kimberly, and grandchildren, Benjamin and Joshua, Dunmore.
The funeral will be held on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. in the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home, 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore. Friends may visit the family at 917 Poplar St., Dunmore, on Sunday between 2 and 4 p.m.
