Ann J. Levy Goldberg, Scranton, died Tuesday morning at home. She was the widow of Henry Goldberg, who died in 1983.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Irwin and Esther Harris Levy, she was a graduate of Scranton Central High School, went on to attend Hood College in Frederick, Md., and later graduated from Tobe Coburn College in New York City. She was a member of Temple Israel and was a life member of Hadassah. She also enjoyed spending summers at Lake Winola.
Surviving are a daughter, Marcy Taylor, Frederick, Md.; a son, William K. Goldberg and wife, Julia, Falls Church, Va.; sisters, Kay Mauer, Albuquerque, N.M.; and Mary Rothkopf, North Carolina; four grandchildren; as well as nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy C. Levy Biederman.
The funeral will be Thursday at 11:30 a.m. in the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore, with services by Rabbi Joseph Mendelsohn. The family will receive friends from 10:30 until the time of service. Interment in the Temple Israel Cemetery, Dunmore.
Shiva will be observed at the family residence at 801 Olive St., 2nd Floor, Thursday, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., and Friday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the
