Ann Marie Molnar Stepanovich of the Tripp Park section of Scranton died Saturday at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. Her husband of 50 years is George Stepanovich Sr.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Frank and Eleanor Pocius Molnar, she was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School. Before retirement, she was employed as a customer service supervisor for J.C. Penney. A woman of strong faith, she was a member of St. Joseph's Church until its closing. She was active in her parish and its numerous societies and organizations. She was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish.
Ann Marie enjoyed going out to the movies and dinner with friends, and had a love for shopping. But above all, her family came first and was most important to her. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Also surviving are a son, George Stepanovich Jr. and wife, Kate, Harpers Ferry, W.Va.; daughter, Diane Warr and husband, Todd, Purcellville, Va.; four grandchildren, Jessica, Troy and Justin Taylor and Casandra Stepanovich; brothers, Bernard, Joseph and Lawrence Molnar; sister, Patricia Haduch; several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by a son, David Stepanovich; and a brother, Frank Molnar.
The funeral will be Thursday from the Solfanelli-Fiorillo Funeral Home Inc., 1030 N. Main Ave., Scranton, with Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in Mary, Mother of God Parish at Holy Rosary Church, 316 William St., Scranton. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.
Friends may call Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m.
