Ann Quinn Doran, South Scranton, died Wednesday afternoon at the Jewish Home of Eastern Pennsylvania. She and her husband, Francis E. Doran, celebrated their 53rd anniversary Nov. 9.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Daniel and Mary McDonnell Quinn, she was educated in Scranton schools and a graduate of South Scranton High School. Before retirement, she was employed by the General Electric Co., Yank's Diner and was a certified nurse's aide in private duty. She was a member of St. Paul of the Cross Parish.
She was a loving devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She enjoyed trips to the Jersey shore, doing arts and crafts and gardening. She will be sadly missed by family and friends.
Ann's family would like to express its sincere gratitude to the staff of the third floor of the Jewish Home and to doctors Gerard Nealon and Ann Collier for excellent care and compassion given to Ann.
Also surviving are two daughters, Laurie Doran and companion, Larry Fay; and Mary Doran, both of Scranton; two sons, Francis J. and wife, Sandy, Scranton; and John and wife, Jennifer, West Easton; three grandsons, Francis Doran, Corey Doran and Dylan Doran; a great-grandson, Noah Doran; two brothers, Bernard Quinn, Old Forge; and Eugene Quinn and wife, Josie, Lux City, Luxembourg; a sister, Marion Thomas, Rutherford, Conn.; several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Daniel, Gerard and Francis; and a sister, Elizabeth Kilker.
The funeral will be Saturday from the Carl J. Savino Funeral Home, 157 S. Main Ave., Scranton, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary Church, 1217 Prospect Ave. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery.
