Anna M. Gnall, 96, of Taylor, died Wednesday evening at the Riverside Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Taylor. She was the wife of the late Alex Gnall, who died Dec. 18, 1964.
Born Oct. 18, 1916, in Archbald, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Estok Popovich and step-mother, Anna Gnall Popovich.
Anna was a devoted housewife, mother and grandmother and was a longtime member of St. George's Orthodox Church, Taylor.
Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Weisenfluh and husband, John, Taylor; and Mary Ellen Lee, Crawfordville, Fla.; a son, William A. and wife, Rosemary, Old Forge; seven grandchildren, Troy Weisenfluh and wife, Beth; and Scott Weisenfluh and wife, Andrea, all of Taylor; Tammy Moore and husband, Eric, Mifflinville; Michael Lee and wife, Sonia, Crawfordville, Fla.; Jeffery Lee, Live Oak, Fla.; Jason Gazda and wife, Erica, West Wyoming; and Christina Quinnan and husband, Tony, Duryea; 19 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; five sisters, Pauline Wiorkowski, Justus; Margaret York and husband, Joseph, Montale; Dr. Irene Hasset, Arizona; Helen Cordelli and husband, Peter, Peckville; and Theresa Rolka and husband, John, Montdale; nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Anthony, Michael and William Popovich; Raymond Kryzanowski, Pauline Choberka, Josephine Cavalieri and Mary Gnall.
The funeral will be Monday at 8:45 a.m. from the Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St., Taylor, followed by services at 9:30 in St. George's Orthodox Church, 743 S. Keyser Ave., by the Very Rev. Mark Leasure. Interment will be in St. George's Orthodox Church Cemetery, Taylor.
