Anne Biglin

Anne Biglin, 87, of Clarks Summit, died Sunday afternoon at Abington Manor Nursing Rehab. She was the wife of Leo Biglin, who died in September 2004. She would have celebrated her 88th birthday today.

Born in Peckville, daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Tatar, she was educated in Blakely schools and was employed at Billig Shoe Factory. Anne resided the majority of her life in Peckville, and was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Peckville and a member of its Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Women's Slovak Society.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who enjoyed cooking and baking. She was a very devout Catholic and she was the last of eight brothers and sisters. She will be dearly missed.

Surviving are a son, Ronald Biglin and wife, Sharon, Clarks Summit; two grandchildren, Brian and wife, Allison, Clarks Summit; and Kevin and wife, Ana, Minn.; a great-grandchild, Jace, Clarks Summit; several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Andrew, Michael and Joseph Tatar; and four sisters, Sarah, Jule, Josephine and Pauline.

The funeral will be Saturday from the James M. Margotta Funeral Home, 1019 Main St., Peckville, with Mass at 9:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Peckville. Interment will take place at Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
