Anthony W. Cappellini

Anthony W. "Tony" Cappellini, 81, of Devon House in Allentown, formerly of Dingmans Ferry, Pike County, died Thursday in Lehigh Valley Hospital. Tony was formerly married to the late Therese Deegan Cappellini.

Born in Jessup, Tony was the son of the late Anthony and Antoinette Geroulo Cappellini. Tony served as a radarman second class on the USS Rowan during the Korean War. Tony was the owner of the Cappellini Electrical Service in Allentown before retirement. Previously, Tony worked for the Allentown Police Department and was a diver with the water rescue unit. He was a member of St. John Neumann Church of Dingmans Ferry. Tony was a member of the Allentown Jaycees and the Allentown Optimist Club.

Tony was an avid hunter and outdoorsman and won many awards for training his Weimaraner hunting dogs. He was a professional hunting and fishing guide.

Surviving are a son, Anthony W. Cappellini and spouse, Marina Dadayan, of San Jose, Calif; daughters, Mary, wife of Michael Principato of Easton; and Carmella Cappellini of Allentown; sister; Sylvia, wife of James Coombe of Northampton; and two grandchildren, D.J. and Samantha.

Anthony was also predeceased by a daughter, Maria, in 1957.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. in Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, 444 N. Jasper St., Allentown.

Calling hours will be from 9 to 9:50 in the church.
