Arlene Gnall, 81, of the Greenwood section of Moosic, died Thursday evening at Geisinger Community Medical Center.
Born in Scranton on Oct. 11, 1932, daughter of the late George and Anna Kolesa Gnall, she was a 1950 graduate of West Scranton High School. Before her retirement, Arlene worked for IBM for 30 years. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, Scranton.
Surviving are a brother, George and wife, Betty, Marietta, Ga.; three nephews, Michael and wife, Jennifer, Gulf Shores, Ala.; Joseph and wife, Susie; and Richard, all of Scranton; a niece, Linda, Scranton; a brother-in-law, Theodore S. Helcoski, Moosic; a sister-in-law, Delores Gnall, Scranton; and two great-nephews, Dillon Michael and Thomas George.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Dolores A. Helcoski; and a brother, Joseph.
The funeral will be Monday at 9:15 a.m. from the Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St., Taylor, followed by the Office of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 310 Broadway, Scranton, by the Rev. Leonard A. Martin. Interment with follow in the parish cemetery, Minooka.
