Beatrice Drucker, 86, a resident of the Jewish Home of Eastern Pennsylvania, died Friday afternoon.
Born in Elizabeth, N.J., on July 25, 1927, daughter of the late Benjamin and Rose Ovsiew, Beatrice worked as a bank teller at 1st National Bank of Elizabeth before retirement.
Bea touched the hearts of many through her smile, sense of humor and laughter. As a young girl and through her golden years, she was always the social butterfly in the room. She loved dancing and sang beautifully. She was loved instantly by those touched with her charismatic charm. Her family, along with the loving extended family of the Jewish Home, will miss her deeply.
She is survived by a son, Jeffrey Louis Drucker and wife, Charna, Palm Coast, Fla.; a daughter, Paula Drucker, Scranton; a brother, Bernard Ovsiew, Springfield, N.J.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A blessing service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Jewish Home of Eastern Pa., 1101 Vine St., Scranton, by the Rev. Francis L. Pauselli. Private interment will follow at Old Forge Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of the Thomas P. Kearney Funeral Home Inc., 517 N. Main St., Old Forge.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects from 10 to 11 at the home.
For the family's gratitude to their caring and compassionate staff, memorial contributions may be made, in lieu of flowers, to the Jewish Home.
