C. Joseph Acculto

C. Joseph Acculto, 87, a longtime resident of Scranton, died Thursday morning in the Jewish Home of Eastern Pennsylvania. His wife is the former Anne Altman.

Born in Dunmore, son of the late Guiseppe and Giovanna Cindolo Acculto, he was a member of St. John Neumann Parish and a member of the former St. Mary of the Assumption Church. He was a graduate of Dunmore High School and attended the University of Scranton. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Early in his career, he was the director of inventory control for Capitol Records in Hollywood, Calif., and before retirement plant manager for Haddon Craftsmen, Dunmore.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the second-floor staff at the Jewish Home for all their outstanding care.

Also surviving are a son, John Acculto and wife, Mari, Dunmore; two daughters, Dina Fisch and husband, Bob, Scranton; and Jennifer Boeth and husband, Ron, Scranton; 11 grandchildren, Kate Beckage, Rebecca Kratz, John Acculto, Jamie McNerney, Christopher Acculto, Robert Fisch, Tim Fisch, Emily Fisch, Leigh Boeth, Lara Ferment and Andrew Boeth; four great-grandchildren, Olivia Beckage, Ian Beckage, Anna Acculto and Patrick McNerney; two brothers, Salvatore Acculto and wife, Janet, Dunmore; and Angelo Acculto and wife, Carolyn, New Jersey; a sister, Mary McCarthy and husband, Clyde, New Jersey; nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Acculto, and an infant brother, Cataldo.

The funeral will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no public calling hours.
