Charles N. Poltroneri, 68, of Scranton, died Friday at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton, after complications due to injuries suffered in an automobile accident in November 2011. His wife of 39 years is Lorraine Herne Poltroneri.
Born and raised in Jessup, son of the late Nazzareno and Anna Bertelli Poltroneri, he was a graduate of Jessup High School, class of 1962. Before retirement, he operated Poltroneri's Auto Sales in the Riverside section of Archbald for many years. He was a member of the Open Door Baptist Church in the Keyser Valley section of Scranton.
Charles was a devoted son, husband, father, father-in-law and grandfather who enjoyed every moment with his family.
Also surviving are two daughters, Charlene Barnes and husband, Jim, Wawaka, Ind.; and Mary Ann Scarfo and husband, Scott, Manassas, Va.; four grandchildren, Lauren, Kara, Camden and Adalyn; an aunt, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral will be Tuesday from the Arthur A. Albini Funeral Home, 1003 Church St., Jessup, with services at 10 a.m. by the Rev. James Barnes and the Rev. Thomas Sica. Interment, St. John's Cemetery, Jessup.
Relatives and friends may call Monday, 4 to 7 p.m., and Tuesday, 9:15 until service time.
